Word importer leaves temp files behind

Hi,

The case is:
I open a Word doc in any dir of volume, say, E: on a W2K machine. 
Several temp files named s8g.1, s8g.2, ... are created in root dir of
E: and not removed after AbiWord exits.

Any ideas on this behaviour?
