Jody just dropped by on IRC a minute a ago with some comments
on gnumeric.
1. Gnumeric has made a lot of progress on implementing a true MVC
architecture with the GUI abstracted from the backend.
2. Jody plans to have a number of different front end ends in including
text based FE (run gnumeric in an xterm) and as a remote service via a
CORBA interface.
3. Jody woud like to see a Windows gnumeric via the gtk 2.0 port to
windows (which is well advanced).
So my executive comment on all this is:
If you want an cross platfrom spreadsheet, drop by the gnuermic mailing
list and offer your 20 Euro there :-)
