I agree with you. Abiword can become the #1 word
processor for language related areas, due to its
openness. But in order to fulfill this it need some
little details. One of then is a "Language preference
menu" to perform some operations that nowadays can be
done modifying the abiword.profile file.

I have just opened a enhancement bug, Bug 3233, to ask
developers to implement it. I have thought in a very
simple menu, but perhaps it can be done more
comprehessive.
