I know this has been worked on recentlyish so I'm writing here instead of Mozilla.
Open a file as "Encoded Text", go to "Save As" and AbiWord's going to try to save it as "Plain Text"! This means that your fancy encoded file is going to get saved with loads of question marks because it won't be in the encoding you opened it with at all! This just happened to me. It's much worse if you just do "Save" because then your file gets destroyed without you ever having a clue. There is code to keep the "Open" filetype and "Save As" filetype synchronized and I recall the being changed in the past month or so. Can somebody please look into it?
