gdict plugin can only use fork&exec method atm - perhaps someone with
GNOME2 can figure out the rest...?
o add check & failsafe-redef for PKG_CHECK_MODULES
o update abicommand, gdict & AbiGdkPixbuf to use PKG_CHECK_MODULES
