I agree that the current naming system for the hash files is not the best one. I talk with Dom on the IRC about this and he pointed out a few reasons to keep using the old system (based mainly on backward compatibility). I personally think that the barbarism files should have the same naming convention that the hash files since they are heavily related, using other naming convention I think it would add confusion.
