I like Abiword a lot. The
last version I had (don't recall which) gave me fits, but the most recent works
beautifully. I like the new icon better too. It's more "user
friendly". Abi is now more than adequate for all my
personal and business needs. My wife, on the
other hand, likes to fancy up her personal correspondence with frequent font
changes and lots of color, so she complains about the lack of a means to change
the font colors. I haven't done anything for Abi, except use and enjoy it,
so I've never felt entitled to make requests of the developers (although I did
ask some questions about a problem I had one with version), and I still don't
feel entitled to make requests, but my wife would be ever so happy if, in the
next version, she could change the font colors.
On my last computer, I
had a lot of "bootleg" software (unpaid for, illegal copies) but I "changed
my ways" when I got this one. All the software on this machine is
paid for, or freeware, and I do business correspondence and bids on
it, so Abiword is a very important tool, and I'm very grateful to have
it.
