undo page numbers

I am a windows 95 user and new to the  user list so please forgive. I found  that 
Abi Word crashes if you try to undo page numbers that have been inserted.
 I get a message like this.

This Program has performed an illigal opperation and will be shut down.
ABIWORD has caused an invalid page fault in module ABIWORD.EXE at 0137:00426550.
