I don't think anyone is planning to implement letterheads in the
immediate future, but that may just be because I don't understand what
you mean.
AbiWord can already put identical text at the top of every page, by
using headers.

There doesn't seem to be a searchable archive, otherwise I'm sure this
question couldn't be answer by some work on my part.
I was wondering if Abiword had support coming for letterheads.
This would be pretty much the only show-stopper I'd see for replacing
Lotus Wordpro on Windows when I move to a linux based solution for my
users desktops.
