This is something that I hope to get fixed soon (i.e. in the next few days). 
HTML is a big spec to fully support.

Until then, you can also round-trip:

WML
RTF
XSL-FO

And still keep most (all?) of your document formatting, neither of which are 
AbiWor'd proprietary format. BTW, our exported HTML is better than Netscape 
composer's :-)
