Hello, I compiled freetype2 library myself and then XFree86 4.1.0 also with support for the freetype2 library. I downloaded some truetype fonts and put them in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype (they came with a fonts.dir and fonts.scale). Bottom line is that my true type font installation is different than that of what the abiword FAQ assumes. I dont have ttmkfdir and I'm not running an X font server. I tried copying my true type fonts to the /usr/local/AbiWord/fonts directory and manually modifying the fonts.scale and that created an error. I tried adding /usr/local/AbiWord/fonts to my FontPath in X, and that didnt solve any problems. So, based on my setup above how can I give abiword access to true type fonts?
