Okay, I've got AbiWord and its related files untared in an Abiword
directory on my Mac, libiconv and libpng are also sitting in that
directory (both have been built and installed, but apparently the Abi
make files look for the source code in a neighboring directory in order
to compile properly). I do an su to root (yes root user was enabled
using NetInfo Manager), type make at the prompt, and it chugs right
along until it gets to:
make[5]: Makefile.abi: No such file or directory
make[5]: *** No rule to make target `Makefile.abi'. Stop.
make[4]: *** [_LIBICONV_] Error 2
make[3]: *** [build] Error 2
make[2]: *** [build] Error 2
make[1]: *** [build] Error 2
make: *** [install] Error 2
I untared the source a second time just to make sure I didn't miss
something, but there's still no Makefile.abi. Am I missing something? Or
is Abiword for OS X just not quite ready yet? And just as something of
an aside, is it going to care if I've got BOTH XDarwin and regular OS X
on the same machine? Which one will it start up in? :)

Thanks in advance.
