I voted for 1751, but I guess when I voted I didn't read it carefully,
and/or considered it a generic vote for some kind of change from the
existing behavior.  Having reread it, I'd prefer that it not actually
open a new document but simply leave the application running, with no
document, something like I understand Word 2000 does.  (But, the major
thing is some kind of change.)  (And for the sake of completeness, I
like the idea of providing a preference setting to let users choose the
current behavior or the revised behavior, whatever it is.)
