I think this was a known bug in earlier versions of AbiWord, and I think
it has been fixed for the 0.9.x series. I suggest you try downloading a
newer version.
If that doesn't fix the problem, this is a real bug. Please file it in
bugzilla:
http://bugzilla.abisource.com/
