I got to thinking…wouldn’t it be handy to have abiword automatically connect to a dictionary server or something similar and to update it’s internal spell checking dictionary.  Then you could host dictionaries that are tuned for different specialties, like a medical dictionary, or hackers jargon file, engineering terms and such.  So then, a user, if they were consistently running into a lot of unrecognized words could update their dictionary with words that are commonly used in their profession/hobby or whatever without having to always add custom words to their local dictionary.   Just a thought,
