There is an SRPM (source RPM) package available that will allow you to build
and install AbiWord on your system.
<ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/sourceforge/abiword/abiword-0.9.6.1-1.src.rpm>

Alternatively, you can retrieve the source tarball and build manually. Your
choice.

Still, it should help resolve your problem.

G'Day from Downunder.

Cheers,
Scott

Subject: New 0.9.6

Bonjour  tous,

I've downloaded and installed 0.9.5 "tar.gz" version since several
weeks. No problem !
Today, I learn, reading the list, that 0.9.6 is issued. Excellent!
I go to site, and, already I see there are only "rpm" system to
complete my version ... ;-((
Well ! We will see ....

I download gtk version, and try install the rpm file!
EVIDENTLY = dependances problems ....
OK, I stop all !!! In french "Y'en a marre !" = I'm not happy !!!
I will remain with my "old" 0.9.5 version ...
