An abiword binary for win32 compressed using UPX It is small enough to fit on a floppy.
For experimental purposes only http://matrix.netsoc.tcd.ie/~horkana/dev/abi/ I was surprised to see that you can still run the binary after having compressed it without having to decompress it. I assume there is a speed penalty, generally it is not a good idea to compress files you are using a lot. Im going to try a few other things, maybe i can cram Abiword.exe + a tiny installer on one floppy, if it works out ill let you know. for more information about UPX http://upx.sourceforge.net for more information about Nullsoft Scriptable Installer System http://www.nullsoft.com/free/nsis/ Mise le meas Alan Horkan http://bugzilla.abisource.com Abiword: "Crash me if you can!" > > > processor AbiWord.
