I think there is a technical expression for this but I hope I can make
myself clear. I put a Gnome Printer Applet in my panel so I can print
files by dragging them straight from the file manager (Nautilus) and
dropping them onto the applet. Very convenient I thought for a quick
copy without opening Abiword. However, the output is a verbatim copy of
all the formatting info. The same happens if I print from the X-printer
utility. I presume both these think the file is plain text. Both use lpr
as the command, but I cannot find any argument that might resolve this.
Can anyone help please?
