I would say try to address the above RPMs problem first. Looks like your rpm db is corrupted? Maybe you want to try rpm --rebuilddb ? Someone correct me with this if I am wrong. I am no expert at this !. Basically, if you can remove your old abiword sucessfully (and yes, there should be only 1 abiword rpm for version 0.7x), then you might have more luck with intalling the new one. Reuben D.
