Hello!
I would appreciate some help with this.
I can't start AbiWord.
I guess it has something to do with environment or search paths,
but I'm not really good at this.
At the moment, I have uninstall and then reinstall Abi each time I want
to start it. After that it works till I reboot. Then it's the same again.

This is the previous message:
-----------------------------
First time I start Abi I only get the "could not add it's typefaces to the X font
path".
That's all, I just have to press OK and everything works OK from then.
However I do indeed have the > load "type1" < string included in the
/etc/X11/XF86config-4 file.
I run the I run the command $ /usr/sbin/chkfontpath -a /usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts
and it says something like "it's already there".

After reboot though, when starting AbiWord I get the message: "could not find any
local fonts files in the font path".
Then it says I should start Abi through a script rather that executing the binary
directly. If so, where's that script file?
Anyway, it says that the current font path is /usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts/
- isn't that the correct one? And when I list that dir, there are plenty of fonts
there.
However, this time I run the command $ /usr/sbin/chkfontpath -a
/usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts
it says: "chkfontpath: error opening /usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts/fonts.dir"
What does that mean? Is there supoosed to be a file there called "fonts.dir"?
How do I create it?

Third time I try to open AbiWord, I get both these two messages. When I have clicked
OK on both of them, nothing more happens.
So now I can't start AbiWord. I would appreciate some guidance. I have looked in the
user-list and the how-to, but I can't understand what to do.

Thanks!
