I made a comparison between the outputs of Abiword & Gimp.
I inserted an image file (jpeg) into Abiword and print it using Postscript and PDF.
It's a bit strange that the ps and pdf files are about the same size.

Opening the same image in Gimp and then directly printed it to a ps file gave me a
smaller size compared to the file generated by Abiword, and running the ps file by
ps2pdf gave me a yet smaller pdf file. Using the B&W option of Gimp print resulted
even in a smaller file size.
I think it would be nice to have a B&W option in Abiword printer driver; so that the
ps files would be lots smaller.
