Mark, Thanks for responding to my question. Actually, I was aware of
--nodeps but I was not able to decide if this was a mighty card for the problem under the following situation: [root@localhost AbiWord]# rpm -q abiword-fonts package abiword-fonts is not installed [root@localhost AbiWord]# rpm -q libgal.so.19 package libgal.so.19 is not installed With both abiword-fonts and libgal.so.19 being not installed, I am still not sure whether the installation of AbiWord with --nodeps get me a proper function of Abi and whether, to the contrary, the installation hurt some part of the dependency in the system. I think I need a little more explanation about these points?
