Also, I might suggest things like enabling the auto-save feature, and hitting the "Save" icon from time to time (or Control-S).
We will continue to keep adding features. Sorry that AbiWord crashed on you. But without more information, your bug report is useless to us.

That is tio say, if a vi session crashes you can reopen the file and it will notify you that a crash had occurred and ask if you want to recover the changes from the temp file.
