When AbiWord crashes, it can save a temporary file for you. Looked for filename.CRASHED

Also, I might suggest things like enabling the auto-save feature, and hitting the "Save" icon from time to time (or Control-S).

We will continue to keep adding features. Sorry that AbiWord crashed on you. But without more information, your bug report is useless to us.

Sorry,
Dom

Does AbiWord keep the contents of the current document
in a temp file somewhere, ala vi? That is tio say, if a vi
session crashes you can reopen the file and it will notify
you that a crash had occurred and ask if you want to recover
the changes from the temp file. AbiWord crashed in the
middle of writing my resume and I'd like to be able to
recover my work.

Note to the developers - please stop adding features.
More features do no good if they cause AbiWord to
crash and you lose all of you work. Or, even if the old
base code causes the crash, the new features don't help
when the app won't run without crashing.
