I'm running Mandrake 9.0 which, regrettably, doesn't include Abiword. I downloaded all of the 1.0.3 files and I'm getting the common "/usr/bin/abiword: line 67 ..." error. If I have two files open and I close one, both files crash. Also, when I try and turn off the font warning, Abiword doesn't save my new preferences. Basically, my system is *very* unstable, which is strange to me because Abiword was always very stable and reliable on RedHat 7.3.
Here's what I tried: - I tried removing ~/.AbiSuite/AbiWord.profile, but that file doesn't exist on my system. - I also tried the following solution from a different thread: /usr/sbin/chkfontpath -a /usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts ... but I got the following message: chkfontpath: /usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts already in list Nothing has helped.
