kernel 2.6.38 has better support for EDID reading. It reads out EDID
data correctly from my monitor (Lenovo 1920x1200), but also fails to set
the correct resolution (only 1024x768). This may be a limitation of the
(alpha status) tegra driver.

  HDMI out is limited to 640x480

Status in Enablement project for the Toshiba AC100 NetBook:
  New

Bug description:
  I can activate HDMI output on a running ac100 or boot with HDMI cable
  plugged. Howewer the resolution of my external 1680x1050 (16:10)
  screen would always be limited to 640x480 (4:3). I cannot change this
  value.

  Screen detection would not be possible. The external screen remains
  <unknown>

  Attached file is a Xorg.0.log with external screen plugged on boot.
