kernel 2.6.38 has better support for EDID reading. It reads out EDID data correctly from my monitor (Lenovo 1920x1200), but also fails to set the correct resolution (only 1024x768). This may be a limitation of the (alpha status) tegra driver.

Howewer the resolution of my external 1680x1050 (16:10) screen would always be limited to 640x480 (4:3). I cannot change this value. Screen detection would not be possible.
