Yesterday I did some more testing. Android 2.2 is working fine, I can rapidly surf the web and play youtube videos. Then I installed Natty, but this has the same problems as Oneiric. Pinging my router has a 20-80% packet loss. Signal strength is ok, the router is 2 meters away in the same room. Using WPA2 encryption or not makes no difference.
I think this must be a fault of the linux rt2800usb driver. Any ideas?
