I have a Maintenance database that tracks downtime and maintenance
records on machines on the factory floor. I have two fields named
TimeDown and TimeBackUp. The Format in the properties is set at h:nn
am/pm dd-mmm-yy. The Default value is set at =Now().
When you go to edit the record, sometimes it stays at the format h:nn
am/pm dd-mmm-yy so that the hours and minutes show first and you can
edit it that way, and sometimes it reverts back to the General Date
format, which makes the user have to edit at a different spot. It also
does not handle the two formats consistently in my reports.
I know I fixed a similar problem for date by having the Default value
be =Date(). When I tried =Time() it worked except the date turned out
to be December 30, 1899, not the date the machine went down.
Does someone know a way to format the field consistently?
Thanks
