That's exactly what I do in situations like this. Use the Windows Task
Scheduler to open a database (or version of the database -- different front
end if needed) that automatically runs the query (using either the autoexec
macro or by setting a startup form and then entering VBA code in the Open
event of that form).

HTH,
Toby

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Auto-Make Table Same Time Each Month

Is it possible to run a make table query in an Access db that will run
by itself based on date and time (whether the db is open or not)?
I need to make a table each month of current staff salaries for that
month. I would like to do it programmatically to ensure it doesn't
get forgotten prior to entering new salaries for the next month.
Is this something I would need to set up in Windows Task Scheduler?..
possibly set to open an Access db that would run the query from
autoexec and then quit? Thanks for any help. Jim
