I think you'll need to do it via a query. I don't think Access
tables will let you use VBA functions in index specs, however, I've never
tried.
DatePart("w", Date()) gives you the numeric weekday (by
default, 1=Sunday). You can specify the week-starting
day.

I have a date field
in a table. I want to sort by the day of the week, but I'm having trouble
converting the date to text.
I would prefer to do
it in code, but I'm not opposed to another solution.
