Sharon,
If you can open the database in design view. Copy all the objects to a
fresh empty database. I have hit this when I hit the 2 gig limit and this
was about the only way out. Hopefully you don't have too many object as
this can be a real pain.
Good Luck
Hal

I am at my wit's end, and my boss is pretty pissed as this is our
client database. I'm to the point that I would gladly email this
database to anyone who is willing to look at it and see if it can be
repaired.

I get this error no matter what I do:

"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and
another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

I was using a database on my coworker's computer, changed the layout
of a form, and then the program locked up on me. So, I had no choice
but to force-quit the program. Then, when I reopened the database, I
got this error. I've also copied the database to my computer,
restarted, and tried opening the local copy, only to get the same error.

I have tried using the JetComp.exe program as is suggested on some
other web sites, but that results in an error as well. I've tried
repairing it through Access and through the Help>Detect and Repair
option, both with no luck.

Thank you so much for reading this.
