I have run into something similiar in the past and found a white paper that mentioned in Access 2000 there was a bug that when ever you imported code or copied code to modules if the db was not compiled at that time it could corrupt the modules. I don't know if this is the same thing but how I got around it was I just compiled EVRY time I got into the modules and made any changes
