I've had this, and as I recall, the solution was more drastic than you'd
expect. Create a new database and import all your DB objects, tables,
queries, forms, reports, modules, from the old one into the new one. If
you've made toolbars or menubars, or import/export specifications, you need
to be sure to click on the "advanced" options to get those also. Be sure to
change any references to match the original, and set up the same startup
routine. There's no saying what causes this, but this route should work to
get you going again.

Subject: [AccessDevelopers] help on error

Can anyone tell me what this error means exactly and how to fix it?
Thanks.

"The expression On Open you entered as the event property setting produced
the following error: A problem occurred while Human Resource Database was
communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control."

This came up after I added a switchboard to my database. Prior to that I
tried to put an ActiveX object onto one of my forms and the db froze. I had
to "end task" the whole thing.
I hope there is help for me here!

Thanks again.
