Debbie, To create a parent-child relationship you need to have primary and foreign key relationships. When you try to relate to a null items you can come up with all kinds of strange things. I'm sure AD could provide you a more precise answer that I.

The parent table contains date, provider, etc. The child table contains descriptive information relating to the provider on a particular date. One of the fields in the child table is time of procedure and the format is set to display in short time. In the table and form it displays properly. In the subreport, the field is concantenated to display the category, if there is one, create a new line and display the time, if there is one. Not every record contains information regarding category and time. The subreport sorts by time. We are unable to get the time to display as short time. Is there a way to do that? In addition, the description of the procedure is a memo field and can be quite lengthy at times, making the report appear clunky if the record before the lengthy one is short, causing a record with a few lines to appear on a page by itself in order to accommodate the record with the lengthy description on the subsequent page. Is there a way to force the records to flow evenly? In other words, to fill each page margin to margin? Thanks! Debbie Please zip all files prior to uploading to Files section. Yahoo!
