Have the default value in a textbox on a form, and then the user can change it if it's not what they want. In the query, reference the textbox in the Criteria line like this:
[Forms]![frmThisForm]![txtYear] The txtYear textbox would probably be unbound, with the Properties default value set to Year(Date) to show the current year. Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to create a parameter query with a default value. Example: I have a parameter asking for a year from a date field, I would liek to have current year as a default. Thanks Joe ------------------------ Yahoo!
