Peter, I guess I got lucky. Mine does not have the 180 day trial... but I will likely be getting the actual product within the next quarter or two.
I think it's well worth learning. Also, you can use an Access database as your backend while you are learning .NET. It's nice to not have to learn SQL Server at the same time as .NET. Also I plan to use Access as the backend for a couple of .net windows apps and web apps. I'll see where it leads me and will likely move my study focus to SQL Server in the Fall. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I haven't heard alot of good about it but i am still a novice on the subject. thanks peter --- In AccessDevelopers@yahoogroups.com, "Squires, Neil" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Peter, > > I ordered the Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 for $5.99 (shipping and handling) and am learning on that. Amazing program. There are a lot of books on the topic. I took Microsoft's 2310 course and it was very helpful. I can send you some book titles if you like. Very amazing stuff. > > Neil Squires > > -----Original Message----- > From: AccessDevelopers@yahoogroups.com > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Hairydoris > Sent: Tuesday, December 06, 2005 8:48 AM > To: AccessDevelopers@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [AccessDevelopers] Re: Visual Studio > > > Thanks for your input Neil. > > I actually called microsoft and got transferred around to people who > couldn't answer my question.
