I would use the form wizard to create the customer form then use the subform tool to create the items sold subform. The wizards will ask you the question which field in the two tables identify the link between the two tables and link the subform automatically to the main form.

This is easier for me than trying to programmatically perform the same tasks. As well it also shows me how to do the same later.

I think you need to create a query form.
Here is a list of two tables that I have in them

Customer tabe----number (Auto number), id, name, address, city,
state, zip, email addresss

Sold----Number they bought (auto number), Qty, discription, price

I want the subform to match the customer information on each record
and be different on each of the cutomer that i ave sold to.
