Thank
you Version B is exactly what I was looking for. I will spend quite some
time digging into the code to decipher what you have done, so I can duplicate it
in other situations. I really appreciate your helping
me.

Your presumption regarding creation of an array of
required heights is correct.
Points raised in 2nd & 3rd para of your post pertain
mainly to various settings prevailing in your original file. While carrying
out the modification for enforcing balanced display of columns in the subreport,
these other settings had been left generally undisturbed.
Revised file named
RecipesSubReport_Fixed_02.zip, now uploaded to the files
section, should be able to address your other concerns. The zipped folder
contains two files. Version A displays the recipes in
continuation, while in version B, each new recipe commences at a new page
(apparently this is the style that you are aiming at). There is no repetition of
group header information in either version.
You might like to test thoroughly and confirm whether
the points raised by you stand properly covered.
Best wishes,
A.D.Tejpal
