Colleagues
In an effort to assist and encourage Access Grids with the deployment of Access Grid ToolKit Version 3.2 (which will also includes running the HD services), a number of sessions will be run to assist those who are looking to upgrade and test. These include: Monday (29th of November) - Question and installation information session This session will be dedicated to provide information on any issues in regards to upgrading, what are the benefits and recommended upgrade processes. This session is recommended for AG support Staff who are looking to upgrade, but may have questions. A brief overview on suggested hardware in regards to HD streaming will also be provided. Additionally, with a few issues creeping in with the latest versions of Linux, an overview of whether to upgrade (operating system) will also be provided. Monday (6th of December) - Installation and Testing session This session will be dedicated to testing those who have upgraded and also guiding those who wish to upgrade during the session. This session provides an opportunity to test out AGTK 3.2, ensure you can receive HD video streams, transmit using higher resolution video streams and ensure shared applications are working as expected. With New Zealand tentatively planned to do a national roll out to AGTK 3.2 on the 6th of December, it is thought this would provide a good opportunity for those in the Australasian - Pacific region to get involved and to get updated!
