Hello everyone,

We have run some Osprey 440 capture cards on Dell Precision 490 boxes running
Access Grid 3.1 without significant problems for several months. However after
a clean install of Windows XP on one machine, the AG H261 video appeared as
almost horizontal lines, sloping upwards to the right. It seemed to be a
horizontal sync problem. Later the same day, on another similar Dell machine
that had run for about 2 months, the same H261 problem happened without any
outside help that I know of. Maybe coincidence! (Neither machines were getting
daily updates that I was aware of.)

The cameras (1 a Canon HV20, the other a VideoLabs) worked normally on both
machines using Osprey's SwiftCap, Microsoft Moviemaker and ConferenceXP.

They also worked normally using H264 -Mpeg4 on Access Grid.

However, AG H261 was normal if the camera was fed into a composite-USB adapter
from Belkin.

Neither machines were getting daily updates that I was aware of.

The Viewcast Osprey 440 driver in use had been the latest: ver. 4.0.4.36 from
late 2007. This has been uninstalled, reinstalled and the second PC rebuilt to
XP SP3 with no updates before installing the Osprey driver. Changing capture
settings has made no difference.

Any ideas?
