The only major issues that we're seeing revolve around firewire/dv support. On Windows, firewire capture shows flashing vertical white lines (as has probably already been mentioned on the list), and on Linux (Ubuntu) vic can't see any firewire devices, and I have the device permissions set correctly as far as I can tell so I don't think the problem would be on my end. I'm guessing that the Linux issue is due to the current Linux packages (from Chris at UQ) not actually including the "enhanced vic" code that supports DV and was developed at UQ, but rather just the new h.264-supporting code from SUMOVER. Is this correct, and if so, will these codebases be merged?
Also, this new vic also demonstrates the videum source-changing bug, which is bug 1671 on bugzilla: http://bugzilla.mcs.anl.gov/accessgrid/show_bug.cgi?id=1671 I'm guessing because the SUMOVER code doesn't include the patch mentioned on that page. --Andrew
