KIDS ON THE GRID
Several institutions will be demonstrating their AG Nodes on Take Your Child to Work Day, April 26th, and others are welcome to participate. WHERE: The demonstrations will take place at the National Library of Medicine Venue on the Argonne Venue Server: https://vv3.mcs.anl.gov:8000/Venues/default Select Institutional Venues, Government Venues, National Library of Medicine or select all venues, National Library of Medicine. WHEN: The currently scheduled demonstrations are from 11 to Noon and 1 to 2 Eastern Time (US). Four ~1/2 hour demos are scheduled from 11 - 11:30, 11:30 - 12, 1 - 1:30, and 1:30 - 2. If these times do not work for you, some of the participating nodes can have people available to interact with children at other times. WHAT: Participating nodes will take turns giving a very brief introduction to the technology and will encourage children at different sites to interact with each other. The Tigerboard shared whiteboard will be used to show application sharing.
