Hi, I believe that a lot of the HD audio products appear to have separate input and output parts, which means that RAT doesn't know how to handle them.
There are a number of good USB cards that I have heard of - I have had recommendations for the Phoenix Audio Duet system, which also has echo cancelling built in.
