Tom The problem must have been with the downloaded modules. Today I downloaded the modules and burned them to a cd before going over the the high school. I installed them on another workstation and all went find and it all worked. That is except for some network problems that will be worked out soon. I'm not sure about what to do with the other workstation. The uninstaller might not be doing a complete job like John said. I know once I had to rebuild an entire machine to make it install correctly.

I'm very curious to hear what it is. Tom On 1/24/07 2:06 PM, Paul Mercer wrote: All I'm having a problem installing ag3 on a win xp box at a local high school. The installation seems to go ok, installing all required packages but when I try and start the venue client nothing happens. Looking at the task manager-->processes I see that pythonw.exe starts for a few seconds but then stops. Logs are empty. I have seen this problem before but I installed using a non-admin account. This time I was logged in as an admin. firewall is off I have uninstalled and downloaded packages again and reinstalled to no avail. Has anyone else see this problem or knows what is going on? thank you Paul Mercer Arctic Region Supercomputing Center 907 450 8649 Paul Mercer Arctic Region Supercomputing Center 907 450 8649 Paul Mercer Arctic Region Supercomputing Center 907 450 8649
