G'day Jim I have FC6 running and haven't noticed that issue myself.
I have seen that problem previously, but it was related to multicast issues for a specific institution. Two options I can think that might help to diagnose what might be causing your problems are: * Try manually switching to unicast??? * Try connecting with a different machine to see if the streams drop out. If they don't, then you could assume that the capture machine is okay. I hope this helps. Cheers, Jason. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Miller [mailto:mille...@psc.edu] Sent: Thursday, 16 November 2006 02:24 AM To: 'ag-tech' Subject: [AG-TECH] Video consumer dropping video windows I have just installed 3.0 software on our multi-node AG. The display box is a fresh install of Windows XP with a Matrox QID. The capture machine is a new FC6 install using Hauppauge capture cards and a SBLive! I have noticed that the Video Consumer service on the XP machine seems to be dropping its video streams from my capture machine pretty regularly. They pick right back up, but of course the video window needs to be selected and placed again on the desktop. I have also noticed some streams from other sites dropping, though seemingly not as much as the ones from my capture box, and other sites streams are rock stable. Needless to say this is not going to be good at all. I have noticed this as well with the old AG2.4 install, but it is much worse with this new version... granted not only is the AG software new, but so is FC6. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks, -Jim
