Hi, If you are participating in the SCGlobal tutorial or if you know of people that are (get them on the AGVCR list ;)) then please bear in mind some important information.
* If you are bridging and on a personal node, you will NOT be able to run AGVCR alongside VIC and RAT due to the way unicast networking works. Only one application will receive the data so AGVCR will not see the packets since VIC and RAT will 'grab' them first. This happens on all platforms and has been a known issue for the long time (and is in the FAQ) but I thought it worth bringing to people's attention again in light of the upcoming event. If you want to still participate but have to bridge, find another machine to run AGVCR and set it to the same host/port information as found in the Venue Client properties. * AGVCR_Launcher does not hand AGVCR the unicast (bridged) host/port information either, so, again, you must be sure to configure AGVCR manually based on the Venue Client properties. If you are able to participate using multicast, you should not have any problems at all (AGVCR_Launcher will configure correctly and all Video/Audio packet data can be recorded by AGVCR) Thanks, Derek -- Derek Piper - dcpi...@indiana.edu - (812) 856 0111 IRI 323, School of Informatics Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana
