Hi,

If you are using unicast, you will need to open your firewall to a range of UDP
unicast ports to and from the address of the bridge server that you are using.
You will need to contact the person that runs the bridge server to find out
this range.

If you are using multicast, please see http://www.agsc.ja.net/venues.php for a
list of multicast addresses and ports for various venues. If your venue is not
listed, you can also go to "Venue --> Properties" in the venue client when you
are in that venue.

Andrew :)

   Hi Andrew,

   Thanks for the reply.

I actually did some further testing from my end and found that it’s
something that is definitely beyond my control. I stopped the firewall and
still no video streaming worked.

Now I have liaised with the central IT department, they would like to know
specifically what ports are required, multicast/unicast settings and anything
that may help the Network administrator.

Any ideas where to get hold of such information?

   Thanks.

   Johnny

   Hi,

This definitely sounds like a firewall issue. The audio tool (RAT) may be
able to "poke a hole" in your firewall, but the video tool (vic) will not be
able to do this. This would explain why you can hear but not see.

   Andrew :)

      Hi there,

I am running a PIG access grid and the issues I am currently experiencing
it that I am not seeing any video streaming.

I have tested this with another University and it seems that they can see
and hear me.

The capture source tab of the Video Source menu has been checked and the
right option is selected there.

I am only about to use Unicast as the network is configured that way. In
addition I am able to hear the other parties.

The latest versions of python and AG have been installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

      Kind regards,

      Johnny Ly
