I've had an email from a user concerning running XP as an unprivileged user...
The last time I attempted this, I also had issues and resorted to running as an administrator... Is this typical? Anyone had any success running AG as an unprivileged user?? They seem to have dispensed with "Power Users" in the user manager control panel. I am trying to set it so that we can have people log in as a user that is not going to spread virii all over the machine or mess up the standard configuration. Right now I have an admin user that can connect to the VenueServer, but as a non-privileged user, "ddrive" they can not connect. Do you have any idea what might be happening? I can start ServiceManager and it can offer the Audio and Video services to a node running on the other machine, but VenueClient can not connect to the VenueServer itself. It does not seem to be a windows firewall issue though... -- Chris Maxwell Unix SysAdmin, Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (902) 494-1369 / chris.maxw...@dal.ca / FAX: (902) 492-1517 -- Collaboration & Visualization Technician WestGrid - www.westgrid.ca IRMACS - www.irmacs.com Ph. 604.268.6979 Todd Zimmerman - to...@sfu.ca
