I recently tried to use a laptop PiG on a WLAN. The venue client took an unreasonably long time (on a 1.2GHz thinkpad) to start, causing everyone to decamp to another building with a permanent AG setup.
Brian Corrie noted that he had been caught if a real IP number from a previous location or wired LAN is saved in the node configuration rather than localhost. Then if the venue client can't contact the node manager it may take a very long time to timeout. Something to look out for - and it would be nice if these things did not block the main venue client process. -- Andrew Daviel, TRIUMF, Canada Tel. +1 (604) 222-7376 (Pacific Time) secur...@triumf.ca
