A new Gentoo ebuild for Globus is available that includes a patch to timeout connections that may hang the venue server. The patch is included in the AccessGrid ebuild bundle which is referenced on the AG 2.3 web pages (AccessGrid-2.3-r1.tar.gz). It is also available in a separate globus ebuild here:
