Quite surprising... It works well here on different pc. Could you launch
AG in debug modem save the output and send it to me ? A command like
script -c "VenueClient.py --personalNode --debug" log should do it.
Could you check too if the sound is working (using the control center or
just checking if alsamixer works when launch as root in a terminal) ? If
it doesn't work, is your sound card supported by the alsa-project ?

There is a known bug with the VenueClient on linux build of AG2.2 : when
you change of room it sometimes hangs up. RAT and VIC close but the
VenueClient window freezes. Is it this bug you are speaking of ?
If not, I hope the debug option when launching AG will give more
information.
If yes, it's common to all the linux distributions and I can't fix it. I
guess that the AG team won't work on it neither, since the AG2.3 has just
been released.
However, as AG2.3 has been released, I will soon (as long as everything
goes well!) do a bootable live cd with it. I hope this bug won't appear
anymore.
